Summer Hairstyles to Keep You Cool

In the summer, the last thing you want is long, flowing, hot hair on your neck and shoulders. But at the same time, you may be at a loss as to which cute hairstyles you should try. Well, we are here to help - in this article, we will share with you five summer hairstyles to keep you cool.

Classic High Ponytail

Why not show off your cheekbones with a high ponytail? Not only is the style classic and chic, but it’s extremely easy to do, regardless of your hair type. Just grab a ponytail holder, brush your hair up into a ponytail at the crown of your head, and go!

Pro tip: If you want your high ponytail to be super sleek, use edge control to lay down those baby hairs around your hairline.

Funky Space Buns

If you want to go the trendy route, try space buns. The style features two quirky buns situated on each side of your head. A perk of this style is that anyone can do them.

To get extra-sleek space buns, take your time to part your hair cleanly down the middle of your head and use a holding product (gel or cream) to lay the hair down around your hairline. Dress up the style by leaving out 2 thin, wispy sections of hair in the front.

Regal Double French Braided Bun

You can’t beat the double french braided bun. Whether you have curly, coily, straight, or wavy hair, this style will look gorgeous on you. The only caveat with this hairstyle is that it requires you to have braiding skills.

Simply part your hair down the middle, do two french braids along the sides of your head, and create a bun in the back with ponytail holders or bobby pins.

Trendy Top Knot

Celebrities and everyday gals love a sleek top knot, and there’s no wonder why! The style accentuates your facial structure and exudes timeless beauty.

To do this style, brush your hair up into a high ponytail, wrap your hair into a bun, and then secure the bun with more ponytail holders or bobby pins. If your hair is too short for a top knot, you can wrap your hair around a hair doughnut and fake it ‘til you make it!

Daring Pixie Cut

If you’re up for the adventure, chop your hair into a pixie cut! When it comes to keeping cool during the summer months, the less hair on your head, the better. A pixie cut may be too drastic for some, but many of those who try the style never go back! In most cases, it’s best to get your pixie cut done by a professional, but if you’re patient and know your way around a pair of hair-cutting shears, you can certainly DIY.

We hope that one or more of these styles tickles your fancy. Either one of them will enable you to enjoy the summer without sweat and frustration.
